If I was Judge DeSalvo

If I was Judge DeSalvo I would rule in favor of Anna, because even though it would result in the death of her sister, It's America... and were the Land of Freedom and Justice, and it's justice to give Anna her right to her own body.

Holocaust Reflection

The Holocaust was one of those events that you never, ever, ever think would happen, but it did. It was a horrible time in world history, where millions of lives were lost.... just because of their religion. But I don't understand why they were hated so much? Why they were blamed for things that couldn't have possibly been their fault. But the biggest thing that I cant grasp my mind around... was how the Germans could possibly believe that what they were doing was right, to simply murder someone, just because of their religion, or just to simply murder someone at all is incredibly astounding to me.

The Positive Incident with my Dad.

We were driving down the street, and  we saw a guy stuck on the side of the road with his kids in the car. My dad got out of the car, told my step-mom to keep going, and said he would call whenever he was finished. He didn't call back until like 2 hours, and when we went and got him,  he was covered in dirt and mud, and said they got the car out.
This added to my conception of my dad as to how once he sets his mind to something, no matter how long it will take or how much energy it will cost him.... he will get the job done.

How could I transfer Scouts story to my story?

I guess I could have Joey be Scout and me be Jem, and everything would change about our story... because we do nothing that they do in the book. I probably wouldn't be friends with scout if she was in my neighborhood because she's racist,  and that's just not me. I wouldn't be friends with dill either, I might be friends with Jem, because he seems like he has some common sense. Truthfully the only person I would be friends with in this book would be Atticus.

" Instructions for living a life. pay attention. be astonished. tell about it "

I like this saying by Mary Oliver because the way that I interpret it is, live your life right.... so that when its your time to go, you can tell your story to your grandchildren, and not feel any remorse about how you lived your life, and have no regrets about the decisions you made.
